Eric Vloeimans en Mark Tuinstra
Eric Vloeimans is an improvising trumpeter and composer who finds the term ‘jazz’ too limiting for his music. His work is characterised by melodic and lyrical power, and a distinctive, individual sound called velvety or whispering in the more subdued pieces. His motto is: ‘I make music for millions, but I haven't reached them all yet’. In doing so, however, he never gives in to the tastes of the general public, always remaining himself.
Versatile self-taught guitarist Mark Tuinstra, grew up in a musical environment. His focus is broad, he loves jazz and free improvisation, as well as African and Indian music and pop. This shows that Mark enjoys playing with others: not limited to any musical boundaries or conventions.
This broad palette of interests of both Eric and Mark guarantees a surprising, colourful and joyful musical collaboration.
