Learn more about jaguars
The jaguar is the largest feline in the Americas and is known for its powerful bite. They live solitary lives, coming together only to mate. Females raise their young on their own. Their coat ranges from light yellow to reddish-brown with black rosettes; some jaguars are melanistic, resulting in an almost completely black coat with faintly visible rosettes.
Engaging presentations take place daily at various times with the animals in the zoo. Discover their unique traits and how they are cared for.
