Nature-conscious choices

ARTIS has an entirely vegetarian menu, which saves on water and resources. The use of other animal proteins has also been reduced wherever possible, such as in the poffertjes, which are vegan. Smart scales help reduce food waste by adjusting the supply. Through these measures, the catering industry is able to help contribute to a sustainable future!

Dispose of disposable plastic

Because ARTIS is committed to plastic reduction, your meal will be served on china at the restaurants. You can bring your own cup or container to takeaway locations such as De Bakkerij and 't Frietkot. Drinks are available in cans or PET bottles, and by discarding these in the PETman rubbish bin, you’ll be supporting conservation projects!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, of course! Please note, however, that you may not feed the animals at ARTIS Zoo. They receive all of their food from the keepers.
