Making a bequest to ARTIS
Many generations of people have created countless wonderful memories at ARTIS. Like all living things, ARTIS continues to change and grow, and can only do so thanks to the commitment of its donors.
A tax-free donation from an estate will help ARTIS inspire future generations to take responsibility for nature too.
Why make a bequest to ARTIS?
ARTIS is dedicated to keeping the planet liveable, both now and for the future. This is only made possible by contributions from people who care about this cause and about ARTIS. Your donation will help ARTIS to ensure that the commitment to loving and caring for nature endures. You will be contributing to nature conservation and education, to the welfare of the animals, trees and plants in the zoo, and the maintenance and restoration of the 26 national monuments housed there.
What are the available options?
Inheritance: Designate ARTIS as heir/co-heir in your will. Your entire estate will then go towards supporting conservation and education projects.
Bequest: Leave a specific amount of money or portion of your assets to ARTIS. This can be used for designated purposes, such as preserving a species, maintaining an enclosure, or restoring national monuments.
In all cases, donating to ARTIS is tax-free because ARTIS is a recognised charity with ANBI (public benefit organisation) status and CBF (Dutch Fundraising Regulator) accreditation. The entirety of your inheritance or bequest will therefore be used to benefit ARTIS.
