Learn more about the Aldabra giant tortoise
The Aldabra giant tortoise is quite enormous. The shell of an adult male can reach 1.2 metres in length; more than twice the size of the average land tortoise. Due to their great weight, activity can sometimes be exhausting for them. Also, did you know that they can reach an age of more than 180 years?
Throughout the day, there are interesting talks about the animals in the zoo, describing their unique characteristics and the kind of care they need.
